Personality
Atanari is, arguably, one who probably WANTS to be hated. He is rude to everyone he talks to, so he has not much friends other than the people who, in his words, "pity him". But maybe he's just a crueller tsundere than Natsuki, and only a certain generic protagonist could heal the hatred in his heart. He often ignores everyone around him when he's reading, unless they're making a serious racket, which is something Sayori would often do to gather his attention. However, when it comes to quiet people such as Yuri, he doesn't show as much distaste.

Personality (ACT II)
Thanks to Monika, Atanari has gotten worse. The fact that he was let out of a mental hospital is more clear with his shaky voice, and his anger towards sweethearts have become amplified, but thank god Sayori isn't even in Act II. As the Protagonist spends more time with him, his more psychotic side starts to show, his insanity increasing... Until it finally kills him.

Hobbies in School
Atanari only loves to read. The Literature Club was a club that caught his eye when he first attended, so of course, that is why he's here. However, he has slight regrets, because he can never really focus on the books his reading thanks to certain things. He also likes writing poems, but that's the main point of the Literature Club.

Likes
Peace and quiet, Yuri, reading, dark chocolate, letting out his anger on people, horror flicks, Protagonist (Act II only).

Dislikes
Being disturbed, headaches (they happen very often), mental asylums, his parents, cheerful people, holidays (nothing good comes out of them for him), his broken arm.

Backstory
Poor Atanari is a 19 year old boy suffering from his own mental problems. He desperately tries to hide the fact he came from a mental hospital by acting as normal as he can. When he was young, he was unable to control himself, and so he had to be taken away from his family, who merely did all but grin at the knowledge that he'll be gone. At one point in his teens, he broke his right arm on the door from trying to escape, so that is why he has a plaster cast. He has a few friends, but that's only because they didn't want him to be alone, despite his rude behaviour. They're also the reason why there's hearts and smiley faces on his cast.

Glitches of ACT II
Atanari is very problematic when it comes to glitches. Even in normal situations, a block of pixels would be slightly separated from his face. And sometimes, if the Protagonist chose his route, everything will become crimson whenever Atanari is alone with the Protagonist, and he'll slowly turn shadowy black with a blood red slasher smile on his shadowed face, the music's notes turning into heartbeats and flatlines.
Along with that, he'll also become more distorted when his amplified anger shows, sometimes even flashing memories of the mental asylum he was in on the screen.

Trivia & File Notes
- Atanari is homosexual, but he so desperately wants to be asexual.
- Because he is right handed, upon breaking his right arm, Atanari is only able to write poems with his left hand, so his handwriting is more like chicken scratch.
- But however, they are, somewhat, readable. And his poems are often dark, and a lot of the time speak about lack of freedom, or being locked up for all eternity.
- His death in Act II isn't by a suicide, unlike Yuri. Instead, his insanity finally gets to him, but he unfortunately ends up getting a heart attack. Upon dying one day before Yuri's death, he is quickly deleted and forgotten in the next day.
- His file is the shortest out of all the files, having only 20 GB. Some of the letters in the file spell out disturbing sentences, such as "GET ME OUT OF HERE."
- Converting the file into an image shows a photorealistic shot of a greyscale, dismembered hand laying palm up on a padded floor, leaking out black blood.

Inspirations & References
- Slytherin (Harry Potter). Atanari has nothing to do with it, but his scarf is a mere reference to it.
- Katawa Shoujo. The idea of Atanari having mental issues was inspired by me recently playing that game. In a way, he could also be an OC for Katawa Shoujo, since he's a student with a disability. And that disability is, obviously, mental illness.
- Akuru Akutsu (Aho-Girl). From his hair to his short temper, Atanari is also inspired by this character, who often sends his annoying neighbor flying with one punch.
- Ryūko Matoi (Kill la Kill). Just Ryūko's edginess and the hair streak is the inspiration for Atanari's.
- The Grinch (How the Grinch Stole Christmas!). His hatred towards holidays.
- Other Male DDLC OCs. Self-explanatory; I got inspired by the second male OC that appeared.
